Our country and society would not exist without the service provided by veterans. Faith & Hope Hospice and Palliative Care recognizes the selfless service and sacrifices that veterans have made to our country. Therefore, we are passionate about developing a veteran-centric culture within our agency.
We have partnered with the We Honor Veterans campaign, dedicated to advancing hospice care for veterans, addressing their unique needs, and recognizing their service. Unique issues facing veterans include:
- Health issues related to military service, for example, exposure to Agent Orange, infectious disease, trench foot, and more.
- Mental health issues such as PTSD, depression, anxiety and substance abuse.
- Psychosocial issues and impacts on the family
- Military culture
- Accessing benefits available from the VA
Our team has received specialized training to address these issues. We continue to provide trainings and are working to further develop our partnership with local VA Medical Centers to ensure quality and continuity of care across agencies.
Faith & Hope Hospice and Palliative Care offers hospice and palliative care to our veterans through Tricare, Medicare, Medicaid, private insurances, and other forms of reimbursement.
We also offer special memorial ceremonies and salutes to recognize the service our veterans have given.
